Sonam was created in Chembur, Bombay, Native Indian in Kapoor close relatives, which includes Punjabi-speaking dad - Bollywood performing professional, Anil Kapoor, Sindhi- mom, Sunita (nee Bhambhani), sis, Rhea and sibling, Harshvardhan.
She is the relative of film-maker Boney Kapoor, and performing professional, Sanjay Kapoor. Family members have good relationships within the Bombay-based Native indian film market now generally known as Bollywood. Boney's better half has been mentioned in the previous film celebrity Sridevi. Her relative, Arjun, Boney's son, is an up and coming movie director.
She finished her education from Arya Vidya Mandir and majored in Cinema Artistry and China History from U. S. World Higher knowledge of Eastern Japan. She then also completed her education in Governmental Technology and Business economics through Bombay School.
Her mom, who came through the business close relatives, did not originally accept of her taking to performing and recommended that she get knowledge, and then gradually get married to and negotiate down.
She served Sanjay Leela Bhansali during the shooting of 'Black' and often went to Mumbai's well known Chor Bazar near Allow Street Train Place to shop for items. She has made her first overall look in Bollywood with 'Saawariya' reverse another débutante, Ranbir Kapoor and he is the son of Rishi and Neetu Singh.
