Shweta Tiwari is a popular Indian Television actress. She was born on October 4, 1980 in Pratapgarh (Uttar pradesh), India. She played the role of Prerna in Balaji Telefilms's popular soap Kasautii Zindagii Kay aired on an Indian television channel STAR Plus, for which she has received a few awards too. She has done several commercial advertisements, dance shows, plays and cameos in other Indian soaps. She is now also growing as a bhojpuri film actress.
Early life
The daughter of Nirmala & Ashok Tiwari, Shweta was brought up in Mumbai. She got her early education from the all girls' school 'St.Isabel' in Mumbai. At the age of 12, Shweta worked in a travel agency with a salary of Rs. 500/- per month. She did her graduation in commerce from Burhanis College in Mazegaon. She has a younger brother by name Nidhaan.
Personal life
Shweta Tiwari married Raja Chaudhary who is a struggling actor/film producer on 23 December 1999. On 8th October 2000, she gave birth to her daughter Palak. In June 2007, Shweta filed a police complaint against Raja for domestic violence. The are now separated, and it is believed that they are in the process of a legal divorce case.

She has done several advertisements, dance shows, plays and cameos in other television serials. She is also active in Bollywood and Bhojpuri cinema. After that, she was seen as one of the judges on the Star Plus reality dance show Aajaa Mahi Vay. In 2010, she was seen as a judge in the Bhojpuri reality dance show named Dance Sangram. On 8 January 2011, Shweta won the reality show, Bigg Boss 4 with prize money of 1 crore Rupees.
In 2011, she did a cameo role in the film Bin Bulaye Baraati and an item song in the movie "Miley na Miley Hum". Her current projects include her daily serial Parvarrish - Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi on Sony TV, the Indo-Pak movie named Sultanat, Gopal My Bro(in which she is coming with Karanvir Bohra) and Married to America. She was also the part of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 6 but soon got eliminated.
